Faulty Implant Recall
Exactech is a global medical device company that develops joint replacement implants, surgical instruments and smart technologies. In 2021 and 2022, the company recalled defected inserts due to their pre-operative storage. According to the Exactech recall, the devices were packaged in a way that exposed them to too much oxygen which degraded the mechanical properties of the inserts.
This has allegedly led to serious complications for many patients including accelerated debris production and bone loss, component fatigue cracking and fracture, all leading to the requirement of revision surgeries. We are investigating the claim against Exactech for the defective products and will fight for compensation on behalf of those that have been affected.
You may be eligible to make a claim for compensation if you have had an Exactech hip, knee or ankle replacement.

No Win - No Fee
We will act for class members on a 'No Win-No Fee' basis.
This means that we will only charge professional legal fees and out-of-pocket expenses if the claim is successful. At the successful outcome of the matter the Court can be expected to make an order that Exactech pay the claimants’ professional legal fees and out-of-pocket expenses.
We presently intend to commence proceedings in the Supreme Court of Victoria and to apply for a Group Costs Order. If a Group Costs Order is made, the Court will approve a percentage of the amount of compensation or damages to be deducted and paid to the lawyers conducting the case.
In the event that the claim is not successful, you will not be personally liable for Exactech's professional legal fees and out-of-pocket expenses.
